The First graders cheered on the CADETS at our assembly for the Homecoming game.  Go Cadets! 

School is slowy approaching - : )

This summer has definitely been flying by fast but I have been enjoying every minute with my family outside, at the pool or riding my Harley!  I hope you have been enjoying your summer as much as I have and I can't wait to meet all of my new students in August.

At Walmart in Iowa Falls, they will be supplying the first grade supply list.  Make sure to get a list and find your items for the classroom, but remember to not label supplies because we share them in the classroom. 

Also, be on the look out for monarch caterpillars!  Our first Science unit will be about these caterpillars and we will have a tank in our room to watch the life cycle!  Please bring any that you find to the classroom with some milkweed so they have something to eat and drink.

Character Counts Assembly - Citizenship

P/T Conferences

Don't forget to return your Parent / Teacher Conference slip to school ASAP!  Our P/T conferences are set for March 29 at 2:30-7:00 and April 3 at 2:30-7:00.  We will have EARLY OUT at 2:00 on both of those days due to P/T Conferences.

Character Counts Assembly - Trustworthiness

We had our Character Counts Assembly on Wednesday and the following students were given awards for the month of February.  Good work and continue to be kids of character! 

Learning about Place Value

The students had to figure out what would be easier when counting out amounts - to count them by 1's, 5's or 10's.  Ask you child what they found was the easiest way! 

We made it to the 100th day of school!

Students enjoyed 100th day Rotations to celebrate the 100th day of school! 

Character Counts Assembly - Fairness

We had our assembly for Fairness at the end of January.  This month we are working on Trustworthiness. 

Game Day for our STAR party!

The students earned 50 stars for demonstrating character as well as following the rules and routine of the classroom.  They were working towards a GAME day and on Friday it was a perfect day to have a game day. With the weather so cold outside we were able to have extra time during AM recess to play our games!
